There are several gospel songs that always stuck with me. I think it was originally the music that interested me but the lyrics where really bizarre too. On top of this, you had a group of hard working, God fearing country people that sang from the heart.
While my influences were shaped from my Central Texas spiritual side, other influences came fro the rich urban life of my Mother’s family. Growing up in Galena Park, Northshore and Pasadena - I was exposed to many Aunts and Uncles who had incredible music tastes. I love them all so much for this gift!
